Daniel Anderson is to Glowbug what Trent Reznor is to Nine Inch Nails, what Justin Vernon is to Bon Iver, the name behind the noise. Born from the ashes of Idiot Pilot in a Bellingham basement, the projects metamorphosis has been an organic one from the start. Emerging from the laptop beat driven, reverb soaked haze of the early days and blossoming into full on pop explorations on last album Suit Of Swords (All available for free download on Bandcamp). Perhaps the growth is reflected by Dan's own shift in listening habbits from the likes of The Blood Brothers and Sunny Day Real Estate to the not-so-guilty pleasures of Huey Lewis, Katy Perry, and Talking Heads, or perhaps this genesis of pop pleasure stemmed from Dan's move south from the rain drenched Northwest to Los Angeles where he wrote the entirety of Suit of Swords, a love letter to his new home. The album itself found fans world wide via free release online and despite virtually no promotion, made it's way onto episodes of MTV's Washington Heights, Awkward, The Real World and Catfish: The TV Show. Daniel also just wrapped scoring on his first film project under the Glowbug moniker, you'll hear his work in the forthcoming Lily & Kat, starring Hannah Murray (Game Of Thrones, Skins UK) later this year.
